I know someone, yes! Her blog is http://adventuresindiapering.blogspot.com/

She had all of her babies back-to-back and have all of them via cesarean. She offers tips on her site as well. There is a tab toward the top that says C-Section Info. I'd recommend reading her About Me as well.

Good luck! You should message her with your concerns if you need some more reassurance.

i had just had my 5th c section 4 weeks ago and it was very scary n they didnt think i was gonna make cause it was my 11th pregnancy and i have lost 5 of my babys pluss had 2 dnc 4 cergladges and 4 prior c sections two were clasical up and down and my placenta was posteire and on top of it i have animia pretty bad. but it worked out there was more pain and my scar went from the privet area to a lil past my belly button and it will take a bit longer but it also depends on your ob team i went to johns hopkins were there use to woman like me and they did a wonderfull job but you have to prepare your self things can still go wrong but if your on top of everything it will work out they told me worse case cenero was i would be in icu for a day or to with a breathing tube in if they had to replace a lrge amount of blood Thank God that never happend. and i ended up with a butifull baby girl my only girl and thats after thers said the last time the couldnt tie my tubes then with my girl told me i had a miscarrage then when fount out i was still pregnant with her told me to abort her or i would die we made it just pray to god but i would not try for a sixth and this time around they were able to tie my tubes hope all works out

I actually work with a girl who just had her 6th c-section. She told us all she was told by Dr she had to get tubes tied after the last one but she didn't and just had #6. I am not sure what the complications are but I always heard 4 was max. She and baby are fine and went home 2 days later.

hi
thanks for all the answers, was at the doctors yesterday and feeling alot better now.  Had a scan and saw the babies heart beat which was beautiful.  Met with the midwife and doctor and although your not ment to have 5 c sections they still seem to be upbeat about it all.  I will be sectioned at about 38 weeks and closely monitored through out the pregnancy.  when im sectioned my last op will be 2 years and 4 months apart so i think that help decrease your chances of uterine rupture.  Im just gonna put my faith in god and pray like mad that everything goes to plan.  will keep you all posted and thanks again

I knew a lady who had 10 kids and her last 7 were c-sections, all in a row. She was just fine. There is always a risk c-section or vaginal, but I'm sure your doc will do everything he can to be sure you and baby are safe. It's not impossible though!

Multiple cesareans do have increased risk but they are not impossible. Everyone is acting shocked and freaked out. I'm sure merc04 is going to be just fine with her doctor's guidance and supervision.

Hmm..I'd have to ask. Or maybe ask Nikki...I'd hate to be rude to the lady and ask her about those things out of nowhere, lol. It never came up in the conversation.

I do hope that in this instance everything turns out fine. I found an old post for you, but it still relates to your situation and might give you a few answers or insight. Good luck with your pregnancy!!

hi all
thank you so much for getting back to me, its great to have someone to talk to about it.   Cant really talk to hubbie as i know he is really worried so i dont want to make it worse, trying to stay positive for us both.   I so want to keep this baby and it would really break my heart if the doctor advises against it,  also cant bear the thought of not being here for my other four children, 2 girls and 2 boys ages 6,5,3 and my youngest will be 2 in may.  This will be the longest time between sections so hopefully that has given my scar time to heal
At my last section it took abit longer as the sugeon had to remove loads of scar tissue he said the lining of my womb was so thin that, "he could put his finger through it".
On paper i would advise someone not to go ahead with this but my heart tells me something else
thanks in advance xx

Clysta - did they section her before her due date, do you know? There is a risk of hemorrhaging for vaginal birth as well. I am not entirely sure what causes hemorrhaging or if there is a higher risk for it in c-section births. The main concern with multiple cesareans is uterine rupture. I *think* if the original poster's doctor takes baby a week or two before the due date, with consistent monitoring of baby prior, both mother and baby should be safe. Here's hoping!

that is scary. i wouldnt risk it. just because of the fact you could hemorrhage. but i wish her the best.

I suppose it would just depend on how close they are. My step mother babysits for a lady who got pregnant 4 weeks after her c-section (she thought it was safe and that she couldn't get pregnant right away) and she ended up hemorrhaging on the table during her second one. Luckily she's perfectly fine though. I'm not sure how common this is, but it can be scary to think about or have happen.

She has a birth plan under the C-Section Info for her 5th section that is WONDERFUL and she also shares the birth of her fifth here:

yes thats very true. she mentioned she has four children under the age of 6 do you think that will effect her since they are close in age? ( no judgement passed i have a 7 yr old a 4yr old and a 2yr old and 22wks pregnant w/ my 4th).

Well I know the more c-sections you have the more scars and scar tissue which goes to more pregnancy complications. Then of course there's uterine rupture (As mentioned), infection, increased risk of Placenta previa and Placenta accreta, etc. These risks aren't as high if you give yourself enough time in between pregnancies though, but do increase with each surgery.

My sis in laws both had 4c-sections. I dont know who their doc was but they had them. My one SIL had really high blood pressure and the other wouldnt dialate past 4cm. Cant the scar rupture from the pressure?? and ive also read theres alot of scar tissue which makes bleeding another issue because theres already 4 incision scars.

wow. thats a lot of c sections. I mean theres nothing you can do now to prevent the c sec. I doubt they would let you try a VBAC. Make sure you speak with your doctor about the risks and how much you need to be monitored.

I've heard of 5 c-sections, but it's dangerous and I've never heard of a doctor who recommends a female get pregnant after 3.
