I am 6 wks and very stuffed up. Every one of my pregnancies have caused me alot of congestion. I would say hold off on the medication until you take a test. Unless you have a fever with the congestion it sounds to me like you may be pregnant. I don't think the meds would do a whole lot of harm but I wouldn't chance it either. Good luck!
If you told him you may be pregnant, he should know what is safe at this point. I have had really bad sinus problems this pregnany and my doctor gave me natural mediciaton which has helped tremendously lately. He said I could go on an anti-biotic, but that would be a last resort. You should be okay since you told your doctor. I wouldn't worry too much. Do you know what the name of the medication is?
for the record...last time i was pregnant my nose was very congested...and now i think i am and it started getting very bad lastnight and it's really bad this morning.
i didnt take any test and i didnt goto gynec doc yet.today morning i went E.N.T doctor and he said i have sinus infection.i started taking medicines frm today for sinus.i told E.N.T doc that my periods are late for 5 days n i feel iam pregnant.he said i cant get correct result if i go for pregnancy test now.he told me to go for test after 10 days.iam mostly worried abt the medicines i took for sinus infection
Check the directions on the box/bottle. Pharmacists should always give you something to read and it will state on there about pregnancy. Other option is to google it - it might give some answers.
now iam taking medicines for sinus infection.is it safe to take medicines if iam pregnant????
Did you take a home pregnancy test or have a blood test done to be sure? I would make sure your doctor knows for certain you are pregnant first and then he will be able to tell you what is safe mediciation to take during pregnancy.
Stuffed sinuses can be a sign of pregnancy. I would go and get a hpt and do the test. If it comes back positive make another appointment with the doctor to get blood tests done - just for verification. If it comes back negative, you could re-test in a day or two or make an appointment with the doctor for blood tests.
