Gripe Water works great! It's ginger and fennel. It's in the baby section for colic. It works for some people for morning sickness also.
Go to Walgreens or a local drug store and ask the person at the front counter if they sell a bottle of this stuff called, "Coke Syrup."
It's the stuff they use to make Coca Cola.
It's just the syrup though. No carbination or caffeine.
It's very cheap and works WONDERS.
I've used it while I had the stomach flu to stop the nausea.
You get a little cup and put a BUNCH of ice in it, and you take very very VERY little sips of it.
You DON'T want to swallow anymore than that at one time because then you WILL puke!
lmao
It's very potent. Very stong and VERY nasty! lmao
You'd figure it being the flavor for coca cola, it'd be yummy. NOPE.
lmao
I honestly found that to work better than ANY kinda of over the counter, prescription and home remedy treatments.
Good luck!
I hope you find a solution to the nausea. Lucky you aren't throwing up though. In my first trimester I planned my meals way ahead of time because so many things sounded horrible and made me sick. Good luck!
im not throwing up just nauseated everytime i move, and i work so this totally ***** for me!!! i cat phenergan because i am allergic to it but maybe he can get me some zofran! i have appt thursday so i am gonna try and hang it there!
I'm with you! i'm actually waiting for my pharmacy to fill the zofran my doc called in..This nasea is absolutely TERRIBLE!! I can't even sleep at night because i'm sick!
they may be willing to prescribe you zofran or phenergen, but you have to tell them that the reglen doesn't work for you. some OBs won't prescribe the other two i mentioned, but some will, so you just have to give it a shot. Have you tried any home remedies? (i.e. eating small, light, more frequent meals...ginger ale or ginger root tea, sucking on ice cubes, eating crackers/toast?) they sometimes help more than medicine....but sometimes not. I had to take zofran and phenergen at different points during my pregnancy because I threw up enough to keep losing weight. Most likely it'll taper off near the end of the first trimester though....so hang in there!
