how can you tell if your having twins without a ultrasound?

Have any of you are any of you pregnant with twins and is there a way to tell without a ultrasound? Also how do you tell the gender of your baby without a ultrasound as well. I know its probably old wives tales but I would love to hear! I am 3 months with my 3 rd pregnancy and my belly button is already sticking out and I look like I'm further then 3months.

I'm having twins, but you really can't tell. Thr only difference that I could say is symtoms is like x20. But I didn't know until an ultrasound. Same with their sex. You have to have an ultrasound, but wives tales are fun to do, except mine was wrong because of having twins it confused it.
