I'm confused...you ended up pregnant then? What was the due date they gave you? Did you have your baby?
Commonly you have a period then count the first day of bleeding as the first day of your cycle. Approx 14 days into your cycle you will ovulate. You are most likely to be fertile a few days before and a couple days after ovulation. So it's not just that one day that you can only get pregnant. Then another 14 days you should expect your period again. This is what all makes up a typical 28 day cycle.
There are many women though (me included) that have a different cycle. I would have an average 32 day cycle (sometimes less days, sometimes more). There are some women that don't ovulate halfway through their cycle either. It all depends on the person.
Was January the last time you had sex? Or did you anytime during or immediately after the bleed you had.
