My doctor stated that it is fine to have about a cup of coffee a day. And i have been drinking ice coffee for about a month now. And everything has been fine with my pregnancy. But if you want answers that could probably help you understand what you can and can't do you should probably talk to your doctor. People have similar arguments about drinking wine. It's what you and your doctor are comfortable with
Mom may be not sensitive to caffeine however no matter how much you can tolerate it, baby still lacks the proper enzyme to break it down and it stays in their system for far longer than it stays in yours.
Always check with your Dr and over time you'll be able to tell how it affects baby. I drink a gallon of water a day so I don't worry about dehydration when I drink coffee and I've had Dr appointments right after a cup or 2 and my bp is always looooow and her pulse has never been over 150. It really depends on mom and baby because some people are a lot more sensitive to caffeine
Same reason you wouldn't put coffee or soda into an infant's bottle. Caffeine in small amounts is okay but you know how when you have too much coffee your heart starts to race a little and you get all jumpy? It doesn't take nearly as much for that to happen to a fetus. It can overtax and stress out the body especially the heart and not allow as much weight gain as is normal meaning baby can be born smaller and weaker compared to other babies of the same gestational age. Most doctors recommend keeping caffeine intake under 200mg a day - it's all about moderation.
Can cause increased risk of miscarriage early on, raises BP and heart rate, causes low birth weight and potential for preterm birth.
Idk about the frequent urination, though. I just basically know it's,not good to take more than 200mg a day.. I think
Increases blood pressure, heart rate, and frequent urination that can lead to dehydration if not taking enough water or fluids.
