it would be 7 and a half weeks, doctors go from te date of the first day of your last period x

With all 3 of my pregancies, the OB/GYN used the first day of my last period, so for you August 12, then counted 40 weeks ahead to get an estimated due date. An ultrasound will be done at some point in the first 20 weeks and they will then use the ultrasound results to pinpoint the due date more accurately. It sounds like you are 5-7 weeks pregnant, congratulations!
