is it normal to wait so long for medicade to come through?

Im 4 1/2 months pregnant and I applied for medicade 3 months ago and still hasn't come through yet. Iv called their office and they said the same thing everytime its pending there's nothing we can do. But I need to get approved so I can go see the dr and check up on the baby. Is there anything that I can do to speed up the process is it normal to wait this long? And will they reimburse you for money spend while waiting for the medicade to come through?

It depends on where u live...I stay in NC and they are 2 months...it took 45 days for me to get approve and 10days to get my card. But they back paid all my bills I didn't pay anything to the Dr office I waited.

I got mine within a month. Should not be taking that long if you absolutely meet the requirements

You should go in. I applied at 3 months and I waited for nothing, they said my application didnt go through because the system for confused with some one else that has the same exact name as me.  I was so pissed off, how can they confused two completely different socials and birthdays. Good thing I had insurance through my job though.  But I recently got fired two weeks ago. So I had to reapply.  I went in and waited for hours. I'm still pending but they should give you a list of doctors you can see while the application is pending.  That's what they did for me,  hopefully they'll do the same when you go in.

Did u put on the application that u were pregnant?  It took mine a month but I got approved within 2 weeks. I just now barely received my benefits but before that I had just regular medicaid. That's crazy yours is taking so long. Where do you live? Go to the medicaid office. Show them ur proof of pregnancy if u haven't already

I'd go up there and figure out what is going on because that is ridiculous. Did you apply for pregnancy medicaid?
