hey does any of you have to go for the 3 hour glucose test. my first sugar test came back high at 151. borderline is 135. i'm a lil worried girls. i don't know that much about gestational diabetes. any info is appreciated!

I just found out yesturday (friday) that i failed my 3 hour test and now have gestational diabetes.  I dont get to see my doctor until thursday the 3rd b/c she is out of town.....so until then i am in limbo.  Let me know how you do at your test....its a LONG 3 hours.  I hope you pass.  But if not we can be scared and struggle through this together.  i don't know anyone who has ever had this so, i dont really know what to expect and the infor online is confusing and one site says one thing while another says something totally different.

I do my 1hr. test on Monday!!  My sister just failed her 3 hour test and was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. She had to fast for 12 hours, go in have blood drawn, drink that gunk again, and then have blood drawn 1 hour later and then 1hour after that.  She now has to check her blood sugar levels 4 times a day, and watch her diet!  Good luck to you!!  Try not to stress!

skylynns_mom just went for her 3 hr yesterday i think and failed...  she might have some info for you!  i don't know much about it either...  sorry i can't be more help!

I am only 16 weeks and I went for the 1 hour test at 10 weeks. It came back at 156 so I went for the 3 hour test. I passed the 3 hour test fine so I have to repeat the test at 20 weeks. I was tested so early because I was borderline with my daughter. I failed the one hour with her and only failed one of the three, on the three hour test. Hope this makes sense. Since I was borderline with my daughter they just had me watch my sugar intake. If I were you I would start doing that now!
