Erm im having a sweep done at 38weeks and 1 day on the 29th im woundering would they let me go home and tell me to come back or would they put me on a ward and wait for progress im high risk and ive got to have antibotics threw and iv when im in labour due to group b strep i just want to know so i can get things ready?
noahjonah17 thank you hun I've had group b strep with 2 of my prem baby girls it affected both my pregnancys but I'm now expecting my 4th but first baby and I was given progesterone pessaries because of my losses and prem babys that helped a lot and my baby girl is now 37weeks today on my last scan not the week gone but the week before on a thursday I had a scan at.36weeks and 4days she was weighing 6pounds and 2ozs so my babys healthy :-D thanks for replying hun I really ait
Idk bout sweeps done.. But I had strep b with my first child.. An it actually made my labor easier lol I was induced and got epidural and the Iv or strep mAde me sleep the whole labor...woke up an it was time to push.. Never felt a pain.. But my second child I didn't have strep ..the epidural didn't even work an I felt everything lol but good luck girl (:
ftmbabybrooklyn ok thank you hun it just makes me nervous lol I'm ready for labour but at the same time I'm not im so scared I've done it twice before with my prem baby girls but I no the Labour pains and stuff are gonna hurt like a ***** but I went natural with both of them x
They will probably send you home till progress is being made if it sends you to labor but as the first commenter said some women need multiple sweeps before they go into actual labor..but if you are high risk that may send you into labor right away but its hard to for sure answer you unfortunately are just going to have to wait till your sweep to see what happens... I'm no doctor but my guess is being high risk you may only need one sweep
This is annoying only 1 person replied to my question but I need someone who has been threw this and that can help me as I'm new to this 4th pregnancy but first I'm new to thaving a sweep done I've already gave birth twice to my prem babys but please can someone help
I think ut will work my mate had it done but she was over due and she had pains and then they stopped but it depends if my body and baby is ready thats the only time it will work if baby is ready and baby thanks for your reply anyone else xx
I've heard of people getting multiple strips done before they finally went into labor, so I don't think they would keep you because it might not work, or if it does, it might not be right away.
