miscarriage

I got pregnant a couple of weeks ago, and just miscarried day before yesterday.  I know I miscarried due to the sudden intense bleeding and size of clot that I passed which had a small flesh colored half moon shaped object attached by a thread to the clot.  2 days later I am passing large clots, 1" x 2".  Some of the clots are lumpy and stringy, should I go see my OB? or just let things clear themselves out?

Thank you for your feedback - I have been having heavy bleeding with lots of clots in it.  I will be heading to the doctor later today.

Implanation bleeding does not contain clots,so that can be ruled out.it does sound like your having a mc,definately speak with your doctor,so he or she can keep an eye on you.so sorry for your loss.

If you are miscarrying I am sorry :(  It's not easy.  I suggest seeing a dr either way.  If you did have a miscarriage they should check to make sure you passed everything, if not and you are pregnant you may need medical attention.

If you were about 2 weeks pregnant the baby wouldnt have been flesh coloured, the babies do not produce skin for a while, and even at about 18 weeks pregnant they are very red in colour.
The shape you describe sounds like the sac the baby was growing in.
If you are miscarrying you should speak to your doctor. They should check you over to make sure the contents of the pregnancy have been completely emptied from your body, otherwise anything left over can cause infection.
Are you 100% sure its a miscarraige and not implantation bleeding,
Did you experience a lot of cramping with the bleed and was it heavy that lasted for a few days?

Implantation bleeding is dark in colour and infrequent - you dont have a constant bleed (in most cases)

Also some women still have periods while they are pregnant.

Take another pregnancy test while you are waiting to see you OB, that will show you if there is still HCG in your body - but definately go and see your OB to get checked over.

If it is a miscarraige, im sorry for your loss. i experienced one myself in October and it isnt pleasent.

Hope all is ok with you.

Keep us posted :-)
