Since all pregnancies are different it's hard to say. It's all just a matter of when you ovulate. It would be best to be seen from 6-8 weeks, especially if you have a scan done. The longer you wait for a scan the less stress it will cause.

Oh also one more thing with the miscarriage they said I was only 6 weeks but my dates said I should have been 8 weeks do you think maybe ill be 2 weeks off withthis pregnancy to. I was 3-5 days past the day I should have started when I took the hpt and its a faint positive and this morning I took another one and it was also faint but its been about a week since I missed my period so I'm thinking I'm not as far along as I should be...I don't no I'm to worried I don't even want to set up an appointment with my ob yet cuz last time they were all weirded out about My dates and were kinda rude that I was in there before my 8 weeks. Any advice would help so much thank you all!!!

New Pregnancy Study

Research Briefs from The Parent Review
No wait needed for pregnancy after miscarriage

For the best pregnancy outcomes, when should a woman try to conceive again after a miscarriage? The sooner the better, a new study suggests. Scottish researchers looked at data for nearly 31,000 women who became pregnant after an initial miscarriage. Compared to women who conceived 6 to 12 months after their miscarriage, those who became pregnant again within 6 months were 34% less likely to miscarry a second time. They were also less likely to have an ectopic pregnancy, a cesarean or preterm delivery, or a low-birth-weight infant. The highest risks of a second miscarriage and other pregnancy complications were seen among women who conceived more than 24 months after miscarriage. The findings run contrary to current guidelines by the World Health Organization to wait at least half a year to conceive after having a miscarriage, which affects approximately one in five pregnancies.

Me too.  I conceived my last baby immediately after a m/c, didn't even have a period in between.  Everything was fine and he was perfect.  Only issue was not being sure at first when I conceived.

Same here- I never had a period between my miscarriage and this baby. I am now 21 weeks pregnant and everything going great! I think as long as your miscarriage was early on in your pregnancy you should be fine :)

Good luck to you!

I didn't even get 1 menstrual cycle before getting pregnant again, we weren't trying, but not like we were going to run out and get on birth control either. I was scared for the first few months but after I started feeling him kick I was more relaxed. My doctor explained to me if my body wasn't ready to get pregnant it wouldn't have.  My son is now 5 months old and happy and healthy as an ox. So Congratulations you're gonna have a baby : )

You're not at higher risk to miscarry due to just having one. Around 1 in 5 women will miscarry in the first trimester and they're quite common, normally resulting in an issue with the fetus itself, and not due to the mother. I've never experienced one personally, but it is normal for a mother to worry that she will lose the currant pregnancy, especially if she's experienced a loss in the past. Good luck, and I hope you have a healthy 9 months.
