my best friend seems to think she had a missed miscarriage what are the symptoms?

Signs of A Missed Miscarriage
Some symptoms of this type of miscarriage include:

a reduction or loss of pregnancy symptoms, such as fatigue, nausea and breast tenderness
absence of fetal heart tones on ultrasound
vaginal discharge that is first brown in color and then becomes bright red blood
However, symptoms of a missed miscarriage can be confusing. Sometimes, a woman experiencing a missed miscarriage will continue to experience pregnancy symptoms, such as fatigue and nausea. This is due to the fact that placental tissue continues to release pregnancy hormones, even after a miscarriage has occurred. This can also result in a positive pregnancy test.

Also, discharge does not always occur immediately, making it difficult to discern whether the pregnancy has terminated.

there sometimes are no signs, i didnt have none. had to have a emergency d and c yesterday  and didnt have no bleeding or nothing till sunday night. i was 9 weeks and the sac only grew to 4 with no baby in it. if she thinks that get her to the doc for a u/s

I am in the process of a missed m/c.  I didn't have any sign of m/c.  I just felt like something was wrong and the decrease of pregnancy symptoms.   However, I am trying to remain positive.  Although my u/s indicated I was 7 weeks and 2 days, my blood work showed 4 to 6 weeks.  I have a doctors appt. on 11/21/07 to give a final decision.

I had absolutely no symptoms whatsoever and no loss in pregnancy symptoms or decline in hcg.  Just when I went in for my routine ultrasound the baby was not alive at 9 weeks.  My blood work showed that I was still at 47,000 and that it wasn't declining but the baby only measured 5w6d and I had to have a d & c because they said that it would have taken me another 4 weeks to mc.
