I was 5 cm dilated when I went into the Dr. I couldn't feel anything.  But that happend over about a two week period, I was 3 or 4 cm for about 2 weeks.  But when labor started I could tell.  You'll start to feel it when it's time, I though I would go early but ended up haveing my daughter 1 day before her EDD.  Everyone is differant though, you could dilated slowley like me at first then faster at the end and it could take forever, or you could go from 1 to 10 in hours.  Good luck, I know it's not much help but only the baby knows when it's going to come :)

Oh yeah, I don't feel contractions until my water breaks, they will read on the monitor but I don't feel them!  The best way to put it is, they will be intense and some could be so intense they could knock you on your butt!  Or keel you over to lean forward!

You'll know!  I wouldn't worry to much.  Stress only makes them worse, and just try to relax.

Yes, you will so know when you are in labor! Its so funny, I remember being pregnant with my first and not knowing the unknow. But dont worry you will know! Your contractions will come and go and get stonger. Hang in there, Not to much longer!
Good Luck

You can be dilated at 1 or 2 for weeks before giving birth. I couldn't feel any contractions when I was pregnant as well and worried the same as you are. When I did end up getting induced though when the labor, labor contractions started I knew. It is SO different than the BH contractions you are feeling now.
