no heartbeat even after 6 weeks

Hi, i had miscarriage last year, i had it when i was 8 weeks, now i am 6 weeks pregnant i had my scan yesterday but the heartbeat was not heard and fetalpole was also not clearly seen.my doctor asked me to come again after 2 weeks that is in 8th week, im  worried about the development of the fetus, last time also heartbeat was not heard and i had a natural miscarriage.I need help on this, is this normal or is something skeptical again with my pregnancy? i want to know the reason my heartbeat is not heard in some cases. please help me on this.

i just wanted to update you... i went for my 2nd u/s yesterday and i saw the heartbeat!
Still cant hear it tho because its too early.

I would have to agree with the other ladies. 6 weeks can be too early to see anything. Try to relax and wait it out until the next ultrasound.

im pretty much in the boat as you. last year in april i was pregnant and at 8 weeks the docs still couldnt see anything at all in the sack and they advised me to do a DNC. of course they also checked my HCG levels and they werent doupling like they should have been. Make sure your doc checks that.
Im also pregnant right now! im 5weeks 4days. i had my 1st u/s this last monday the doc only saw a sack =(
im sooooo scared the same thing might happen again. But even the doc said that at 5 weeks its way too soon to see anything really!
i have another u/s schedualed this monday which puts me at 6 weeks. but it still might be too soon. Im going to wait and see what happens till im about 8 weeks... lets keep the faith!

I agree with Lance06.  It's too early to see a heartbeat at 6 weeks.  I would wait it out or maybe if you are really anxious, call your doctor back to see if you can be seen at 7 weeks instead of 8.  Have faith that it'll work out the way it should.  Good luck sweetie.

It may just be too early.......wait the two weeks and see what your next scan says. I know the waiting is tough...but its really the only thing you can do at this point.
