Well I went to the clinic today and got a test. I've been having bad sickness today and my bb's are unbearable with pain. So I thought well if it's this bad this test should detect something. Yea well I took it and what do you know...bfn!. I'm in tears....The other test must have been a BIG FLUKE....All I can do is cry....this is so frustrating. If its AF putting me through all this then I dont' want to try anymore...I want to get back on the pill because I just don't think I can take this every month...It's killing me :(

I've been trying to conceive since Sept. I'm now 4 days passed AF not arriving and still don't know what's going on.... :(

I know how you feel...I'm in the same boat....but don't go back on the pill...maybe just don't be as tough on yourself in terms of trying...I know that's near impossible....every month I say that's what we're going to do but at CD13 or so I change my mind!  How long have you been TTC?

Just wanted to let you know "EPT Certainty" works very well.  Advertises on the box that it is "over 99% accurate from the day of your expected period" and "Results 5 days before missed period."  

I trusted it and it was right (I got the double pack just in case).  It's a digital test, so there is no line reading; it will either read, "pregnant" or "not pregnant."

i wouldnt depend on the clinic tests. there not sensitive at all. as for your ept, i had gotten the same exact faint positive as yours. i didnt want to get too excited so i waited 3 days, and used a early first response. i got my bfp with that one. those are the best(i think) i wasnt due for af until another 3-4 days. oh and i got the double pack also, just to make sure. good luck, and hope you get that bfp!

Every clinic is different and uses their own tests. Some deliberately buy ones that test 100+ because of early miscarriages happening. So I'm glad to see hubby got you some new tests! I think the moment of truth will be in the AM! Good luck!!!

And something else I read. . . even one positive and 10 negatives still mean you're pregnant.  Positive is positive, regardless!  Good luck. :-D

aaaw thanks!! and thanks for the prayers...I just got off the phone with the nurse and she was just as confused as I was...she couldn't understand why I would get a faint pos yesterday and then neg today...so oh well..guess we'll see and yea I'm also learning that sometimes clinic test aren't very sensitive and that sometimes some woman have to have missed their period for a WHOLE WEEK.....weird...oh and I'll take all the prayers i can get...THANKS.

I've just had bad experiences with HPT's, I never trust them!
But the numbers never lie...HCG is the best way to go so if all else fails definitely do that.

But since you happen to have 2 tests it won't hurt to use them, right!? I can't wait to hear from ya tomorrow morning. Praying for you tonight girl!

I have also heard that clinics don't use as strong as pregnancy tests as what is available in stores.  Weird, but I heard that from a few places.

I have 2 stories for you:

My first Pregnancy I conceived Sept 5th 07 and didn't get a Positive test until I was more than 6 weeks along!! I got soo many false negatives..it was horrible, but I was indeed Pregnant! So never give up hope, especially if AF hasn't arrived yet. It ain't over til it's over!

Last month I thought for sure I was Pregnant. AF was really late, I was tired all the time, had Cramps, was hungry, peeing a lot, I felt sick in the morning, wasn't sleeping at night...I had all the symptoms and I thought there was NO way I couldn't be Pregnant. Well AF came...she was 12 days LATE but she came and I wasn't. So often times women confuse PMS symptoms to be Pregnancy because they are tooo similar. We just want it so bad that we convince ourselves, ya know?

But it could go either way...and I'm a hopeful person and I truly believe it's not over until AF arrives which she hasn't for you yet. I would re-test in the morning or get your blood drawn to see your numbers. I wish you luck and I really hope your Pregnant girl!

I just don't want to pay for the blood test and have to go back to the dr's office. I think I"ll just wait it out and try not to think about it. Although it's always in the back of my mind....Thanks and maybe we'll get bfp soon!

I am very sorry that you are going through so much stress.  It is horible to be so all over the place with your emotions.  Do you think you should just go to the doc and get a blood test?  It might put you out of your misery either way and let you get on with what ever will be.  I know the doc can put a rush on the results so it is back the same day.  Good luck and don't give up hope until its over.  Just to let you know you are not alone in feeling disapointed this month i am not due to test until tomorrow but i think my AF is on its way as i have the horrible taste in my mouth and heavy feeling in my tummy (not like pregnancy).  Might help to know that we will be hear again next month to help each other through.

Wow that does give me lots of hope. It's just that I've been trying since Sept and it seems like forever. (although i know a lot more ppl that have tried a lot longer). My body is giving me all the signs. My bb's hurt so bad that it hurts if I take my bra off. It's like I have to have them held in tight or I just can't stand it. And the nausea is starting to get bad now and early than being in the evenings like last week....so who knows....

Don't give up hope yet! The digital EPT tests are the same price as 2 of the normal ones! I'd say splurge and try that one tomorrow morning!

Don't give up yet. Just want to share my story in the hope that it may help you out. With my first pregnancy I was four days late and only got a faint positive with first response early test - had two negatives prior to that. With my second that unfortunatley ended in a m/c I wasn't even late and I got a faint positive but it was negative two days later at my ob's office and it had to be confirmed with blood work.

Ok well thanks for all that. I just have that gut feeling I am and when I'm looking at a BFN it really hurts...especially since I've been thinking I had a BFP this whole time since yesterday....

Sometimes I dont think that clinic ones are as strong. I personally dont know that but I have heard they arent THAT reliable in early weeks.  Just what I have heard.

I was having the same problem so I got the EPT digital test...I was very early taking it and it said Pregnant right away, all the other ones, even the normal EPT tests were very faint. Try that one!

I couln't hardly stand it so my husband is stopping at walmart to get me a first response so I can take it in the morning. I'm just so bummed...why would the dollar store one give me a BFP and the clinic test a BFN?? I'm so confused with my body right now...I just knew I was preg :(
