Despite what the others have said (sorry ladies), if your dr. tells you it's okay to take them, it is. I know SEVERAL women who take either loritab or vicodin and have been for quite some time and their babies are fine. I was prescribed them for a neck problem, my OB knows about it and says it's perfectly fine to take them, but I have to watch how much I take (I'm on Vicodin 5's and I only take 1 a day - half at a time)

My mother has had a few major back surgeries in her life and has been on Vicodin for many, many years. She took them the entire time she was pregnant with my little brother and it did no harm to him at all. BUT, I am no doctor and every woman is different. I guess the safest way to know if to ask your dr. Congrats and good luck.

By the way, don't you just love how everyone tells you that the "ONLY" thing you can take is tylenol? For me, that's like someone telling me to take a damn tic tac and pray to feel better.

HECK NO!!! That would hurt the baby truely. If you want something for pain call your doctor and ask him/her if there's a med you can take for pain without hurting your pregnancy.

No do not take it.  Do not take any medications while you are pregnant.  It is not okay to take anything for pain but REGULAR Strength Tylenol.  Make sure it is not extra strength that is not recommended during pregnany.  Call Walgreens pharmacy open 24 hours and they will answer any questions you have.

Okay, I just looked up what the drug is and I have to tell you that when I was pregnant I slit my thumb wide open and had to go to the ER (my hand went through a window). All I could take for pain was Tylenol. I wasn't allowed to have codeine because it would go to the baby. One of the drugs in Lortab is related to codeine. You can probably just take Extra Strength Tylenol. Ask your doc at what amount you can take it.

Don't take chances, hopefullypregnant. Stop taking them. I generally ask girls, "Would you give your baby a bottle of beer or a cigarette?" The answer would obviously be no! Everything you eat, drink, and breath is passed through the placenta, into the umbilical cord, and into your baby. I don't know what Lortab is, but if it can be harmful, please don't take it anymore!

This medication may be harmful to an unborn baby, and could cause addiction or withdrawal symptoms in a newborn. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Lortab can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

That's what I found online, but I would definitely ask your doctor!

What are those? You could probably call a pharmacist or your doc and ask. Some insurances have a 24/7 ask a nurse phone number you can call. You can find the number on your insurance card. You can probably Google ask a nurse to see if you can find a number if you don't have insurance. There is not very much you can take while you're pregnant, and some things have not been tested to know the effects they have on the developing baby.
