please help

I'm 37 weeks and I know it's normal to feel discomfort and to have itchy skin and such but these past few weeks have been agonizing.  I can't sleep. Every inch of my body itches or feels like it's crawling.  I've tried everything I can think of, lotion,  anti itch creme, my doctor even suggested Benedryl every once in awhile but none of it has helped even a little.  I feel like I'm losing my mind. I get so uncomfortable sometimes that it makes get angry. I really don't know what to do. Does anyone know ANYTHING that might help?

Sorry this was so long!

I had HARDCORE itching. I switched my body wash to libra get fresh body wash and I used calomine lotion when I finally dried my itch out. I used a steriod cream. any steroid cream will do but I used my dermol ointment got rid of it in 2days havnt had it since. I thought I had pupps rash but it wasn't. started to spread to belly but I caught it in time. cos scratching makes stretchmarks worse.

Do you remember what your doctor said? And I actually don't have a rash of any kind on my body. My skin looks fairly normal.

Hey that's a symptom of something serious my Dr told me about. Go to Dr tomorrow.

I had restless leg and OMG it's so frustrating. Thank god I don't get it much now. And the rash I think you're trying to describe is called PUPP rash. My friend had it really really bad and you will know if you have it cos your whole body not only itches but ends up covered in a rash kind of thing. She had it before 37weeks and had to be induced at 37 for it as that was the only way to make it go away. Even after she still had it a little. She said she just looked and felt diseased cos of the rash covering her bod. Hopefully you find an ease to the iitch!

I know it seems strange but are you anemic? I have restless leg syndrome from my iron being so slow and my skin feels like it has bugs crawling under it I can't sleep and I'm constantly twitching and itching. Worth getting checked out and you can always try upping your iron intake!

I tried taking a bath earlier today but even the water drops on my skin made it crawl. I mean the amount of discomfort I feel is really ridiculous.

Make sure you do not have ppds or whatever. It's liver failure.  I had severe itching too but I did not have anything serious .. just normal I guess. Terry a warm .. not hot ... oatmeal bath (:

I'm not taking anything and I thought it might be my body wash but I switched to a sensitive skin body wash with no dyes or perfumes and it didn't make a difference.

Are you on any medication?  Tried any new shampoo or lotions?
