pooping black

I dont sound nasty but i really want to know , im 37 weeks & 6 days pregnant & for the pass couple of days everytime I poop its really dark almost looking black , is this normal ? Is my baby safe ?

Sometimes black poop means there is blood in the poo. Probably would go get checked.

I think iron pills can turn your poop black.

I got it in my last pregnancy.. it freaked me out too. It turned out it was because I ate cupcakes and the frosting had dark food coloring in it.. lol  I would think back to what you ate the past few days.

I read somewhere that it could be from blood in your poop, ulcers or any number of digestive problems and that since it doesn't really involve reproductive systems it shouldn't harm the baby but you should see your doctor as soon as you can.

I would call the er tonight and see if they want.you to come in right away or not...

I don't think black poop is normal at all....I think you really need to be checked....
