possibly be pregnant?

I have an IUD.  I have many symptoms of being pregnant but all pregnancy tests come up negative.  Will an over the counter pregnancy test work acurately with an IUD?  Will the results be correct?

i would of thought so, iud's genuraly work well to stop pregnancy tho, how late r u, certain iud's prevent u from having periods aswell!! if u were to b pregnant which can b posible at the same time they will have to give u 2 options, 1. take it out which can lead u to miscarry or 2 leave it in there till u go into labour but  i belive there can b risks!! best thing to do is spaek to ur doc and ask all the questions!!! good luck x

Yes a HPT will be accurate. I assume you have the Mirena, and due to the hormones it can cause many symptoms women associate with pregnancy. To rule out pregnancy, see a doctor for a beta blood test.
