Congratulations, and yes it happend to me. I dont have my tubes tied but I went in with missed periods I assumed it was a cyst again and was told I was 7wks preg.... ; )
I'm in the same exact boat! Went in for routine u/s for cysts and they found a 7 mm sac in my uterus. I would have been 6 weeks at the time and the sac measured just below that, but still within normal realms. My tests were negative for pregnancy but my last two periods have only been extremely light spotting with no cramps for 2 days which was not normal at all. I'm currently waiting to talk to my doc whenever I can get ahold of him, and was going to ask the likelyhood of it being an endometrial cyst (from my research they are really not all that common), but am requesting a repeat ultrasound. Once I get ahold of him I will let you know what he said for me, but please keep me updated on your results! Trust me I know the wait really *****, I had my u/s done 12/2 and still dont have any answers.
Here is a little info I got out of my situation after I spoke to my doctor. When doing routine u/s sometimes they catch these endometrial cysts which otherwise would have gone unnoticed (he even said some post-menopausal women get them). However, an endometrial cyst will NOT effect your period. Some women will usually get one or two funky periods out of the year, however in my case it was two in a row plus they found that on my u/s so my doc is leaning towards a pregnancy that wasnt viable in my case (keep in mind my levels were coming up negative at 7 weeks). Have you taken a pregnancy test? A sac is usually visible by the 4th to the end of the 5th week and by then you should be getting positive tests. If it's a ges sac, they will monitor your hcg and go from there, if it is a cyst there is nothing that needs to be done, they will clear themselves up on their own and your doc will prob order a repeat u/s in 3-6 months to check up on it. I hope this helped a bit!
After I believe 6 to 8 years, pregnancy is possible. The risks are tubal pregnancy, but sounds as if that is not the case. Congratulations, and God bless. Merry Christmas.
Thank you for all the info its nice to know what to expect and that I'm not alone;-) I c my Dr next Friday. So ill update then. I took a p test avter my u.s because the tech kept asking my lmp and how long my tubes have been tied but that was negative I will try again soon w first morning urine maybe on Christmas eve .. if so it would be a nice Christmas present;-) thanks for the fomented everyone! And Merry christmas
