question about up coming labor..

okay so i am 35 weeks.  on thursday I'll be 36 weeks. I have lost my mucis plug. I am just curious bc here lately I have a discomfort in both my sides. It's not constant just when I stand or lay down. I have been having BHC all day long. I was just curious if this is a sign tht labor will be coming soon. I am just sooo nervous!!
thanks!

i would get checked out to be sure. a bloody mucous plug means baby could be up to 10 days away and you are just a little premature, it may mean infection but all may be ok and you could be sent home but i would personally suggest being checked out

if the mucous plug was pink or had blood in it, it may mean your cervix is beginning to open

The mucus plug can be lost weeks to months prior to going into labor.  The thing about it is that it can regenerate itself, therefore it's not a good way to determine if labor is close or not.  Are you sure you are having BH or actual contrations?

Losing your mucous plug is a sign that things are moving along. It's not really a good indicator that labor is going to start tommorow or the next day. It means your body is getting ready. is this your first baby?
