I would ask her not to smoke around you. My mom smokes alot too and the smell makes me sick. I asked her not to and she doesn't smoke around me anymore.

I smoked all the way up until about 10 weeks. The smell started giving me headaches and making me nauseous.  My husband smokes. So I use vix under my nose and I can't smell it as much as before.

I know how you feel and i used to smoke... I cant handle the smell it burns my nose and turns my stomach. I have to hold my breath. My midwife told me that now they are concerned about 3rd hand smoke. chemicals from smoking on hair skin and clothes... my mom brother n sister smoke so if they are going to hold my baby they are going to have to have a smoke free outfit or something lol
