sex after giving birth

Is it normal for sex to hurt or be uncomfortable? I had my son two months ago and i either ripped or was cut during birth, idk, but i remember the doctor stitching me up. Now it feels like the opening (sorry lol) is ripping every time i have sex. Like the doctor stitched it too far? It Burns like a cut and makes sex unenjoyable. Normal? Will it get better over time? Or should something be done about it.. If its even possible?

I had that same thing happen after I gave birth to my daughter. i thought they stitched too far...lol. I think it just feels different after being cut/ripped and then sewed. it probably is tighter. I think you will be ok. If there were any problems the Dr. would have saw it at your checkup. i think it just takes a few times to feel normal again.

It does get tighter after childbirth..its essentially elastic. So its normal to feel tighter. I would use extra lube..still to this day after having dd i am a lot more tighter than pre pregnancy. Not to the point ithurts me every time (sometimes it does) but dh can most definitely feel a difference.

Give it a couple weeks either since u ripped or they cut then they stitch u so its gonna hurt. U can also lubricate with some gel so its wet on the rip cuz its easier to slide sorry tmi but this happened to me and it took us about 8-10 wks for it to feel good again at least for me...

Looking good and feeling good are two different things though lol. Id give the Dr a call then though if I were you. Especially since they said it was all good.

Thats actually pretty normal. You might want to wait awhile longer before having sex again. I know it takes time to heal but unsure for exact time. You can always call your Dr though and see what they say.
