I waited until I found out the sex of the baby because I noticed that the unisex clothes they had wasn't that cute. I wanted to buy things as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I would go to the store and browse through everything. My fiance's parents started buying things really early, like a crib and stuff so they can pay it off little by little. If you're excited, go ahead and buy it :)

I bought early with my second and this one I went yesterday and bought a girl and boy onesie. I find out the 18th what were having so that's how we are announcing it. My youngest is 15 months so we have most of everything we need. Besides another crib and a new swing. I say go for it!! :)

yep its up to you, some moms feel better getting organized earlier... some feel more comfortable waiting it out more... if you find something you have your heart set on i say go for it... if you wanna wait it out thats fine too!
It kinda goes along with the "when to tell ppl" question... its your personal choice and you know your limit to what you can handle... congrats and good luck!!

I was so excited when I found out I was pregnant. I started buying some little things right from the beginning!! I knew it was early to be buying things, but sometime you just cant help it!!! You might want to wait until your baby shower because you will get tons of things then :) congrats on your pregnancy!

Its a personal choice to buy early or not! We are waiting until we find out what we are having before buying anything. (Find out Saturday) then we are only buying the crib and changing table. We will register for everything else we want and after the baby shower we will pick up whatever we didn't get! Its hard to wait! Especially when its your first!

I didn't buy anything until after the first trimester just to be on the safe side.  My dr told me that I had already had an u/s and that he said there was no difference from thenand the 3 months but i still did not want to take the risk.  I had a mc already didn't need to go through it all again.  Plus I had a GF that had at the time just told everyone that they were expecting and the next day she had her 12wk u/s  and the drs did an emergency d&c because something was wrong.   She had to go back and tell everyone what happened.

I would aleast wait until your second trimester. I am 21 weeks and I still haven't bought stuff (except one ourfit) because my first pregnancy I miscarried at 11 weeks... I would wait just to be safe.
