I've been very unlucky. Im at 36 weeks in first pregnancy and have a dozen marks above and around belly button. More appear everyday even though I've been applying cocoa butter cream since we were trying. Does anyone know of another cream or oil that might slow them down as I read any marks above belly button can't be removed in tummy tuck :( its really knocking my self esteem.

Haha that's so strange. Maybe just the body modification cause it to lose its elasticity. And yes I thank my mom all the time for my skin :) I am very olive toned (Italian) so I'm sure stretch marks would not suit me!
Lol, I got one stretch mark to right by where my belly ring was and I just had my fourth baby one week ago. If you didn't get any with your first baby you probably won't get any... We are some of the lucky ones :)
How funny!! I also have 1 stretch mark from where my belly ring was. This is my 2nd still only the 1.
I got one where my belly ring was with my first pregnancy, but when Im not pregnant you cant even see it. I am 39 +2 with baby number 3 and havent got any more. I think it has alot to do with the natural elasticity of your skin, so I would assume that if you didnt get any with the first two, that your chances are low this time.
