Walking, sex, evening primrose oil, sitting on a yoga ball. No matter what you do the baby wont come out if its not ready. So I'm not really sure why some women think you can force baby out by doing simple things that most women do everyday. If you can do things to help you dilate before labor starts you will have a easier labor and if you have to be induced they will give you less meds because more then likely you won't need a balloon or cervedil or cidotec sp?
I wasn't trying to be rude and I wasn't trying to judge you, I was simply saying that If the baby is not ready to come then you won't dilate , and surely if your deb won't let you go to 40 weeks then they should induce you, sorry if I offended you
I understand dont rush it but some ppl have a rude way of answering queations and if you have to be rude then your advice is not needed.
I don't think the ladies are trying to judge just educate, I understand your wanting to help the process but the best help you can do is to let your baby come when its ready. Unless medically nessicary.( Your can always just walk, that is said to make labor easier) just because some consider 38 full term doesn't mean your baby is ready. Cherish the time you have baby inside of you now, baby will be well worth the wait. I'm actually going to a babes funeral tonight, he was born at 33 with complications. I know his mom would give anything to have him back inside, safe and kicking. Like I said, try not to rush it and cherish every minute with your baby inside. NOT WANTING TO MAKE YOU FEEL BAD OR START ANY DRAMA, JUST WANTING TO HELP HOPEFULLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH ANYONE THAT READS THIS
Lots of walking and bouncing. Good luck!
I got the same judgement by asking a similar question lol. The baby will come whenever the baby comes yes, but that doesn't mean you can't be active in helping your body be prepared for when the baby comes, geez people! Anyways I was thick and closed now I am 1 1/2 cm dilated, 90% effaced, and -1 station. Way at I have been doing is eating black licorice and pineapple, walking (I walked the mall for over three hours and my contractions (BH) got super consistent so they were definitely helping my cervix along), and I did Zumba (modifying the moves so I can do them). It helps to just be active :) good luck!
first of all baby is considered TERM so this young lady may do what she wants to...
but lately everyone is just judging...
it seems as we in highschool making clicks...
my advice is walk around a brisk walk up strairs wont harm..(baby.....ga..ga) even says its okay
He wont let me go over 40 Weeks and when I go do my stress test next week if im having contractions they are not gonna stop them cuz ill be full term i.never asked for tips on how to start labor so I dont aee how im rushing my baby and it was just a ssimple question
Sex! Semen stimulates! (; good luck!
Im the same as you and due in 16 days. I refuse to try primrose oil or the whole tea and pinapple or anything else. Im trying to walk more but I think its a good way to pass time too and its not like it can harm you just dont over do it. I also have an exercise ball but my midwofe said it helps get baby in position. The ladys are right baby cant be forced but baby wont be forced they will come when there ready even if you do walk more. Good luck, were almost there :-)
You can't get answers on here just judgment. People think the question says 'what are your opinions on....' Annoying.
Walking, && staying active helped for me, ur almost there so just try to stay active as much as u can. Good luck!
Im not rushing it was just a question
If baby was ready to come your cervix would be thining, you still have have 3 weeks to go, like maxeymom said why try and rush things
I wouldnt do anything. Why rush it? The longer the baby stays in the better. And dialating doeant mean you will go into labor. I stayed dialated to 3 thinned 80 percent for 3 weeks
