Yes, it would be pronounced GREER...but spelled Grier. I like very different names... mine is Kirby..which is very different even for a girl.
I dont know it was just a thought. we also like..
Grayson, and Hayden
I think it's cute....different but not insanely weird......
So, is it pronounced GREER?
I love the names that are different and popular now, but I always think of when these babies get older and go to school. Several people on this post already don't know how to pronounce it, and it gets annoying constantly pronouncing and spelling your name for everyone. My name is Aimee, which seems pretty simple, right? You have no idea how much trouble it gives me! I constantly have to spell it, pronounce it, explain why my parents spelled it like that, tell people what nationalities I am...it gets old after 25 years! I work in the school system and all of my kids have unusual names. I spend the first week of school trying to learn how to pronounce them all. I have a Zebulon, Jarius, Marquelle, Keayanna, Ariesia, Ja-Kiyah, Shaonna (her mother says it's spelled wrong! she told me that the hospital messed up and left out a "y" between the a and the o, but she never got it fixed!), and the best one of all....Ashauntyanna. They are all great kids, but they can't go anywhere without people asking them how to say their names.
Just my opinion...it's yours that counts the most when it comes to your baby's name :) Good luck picking one! It's tough!
Hmmmm... I'm not a fan, but you have to name your baby what YOU like!
no, not like the cheese...its not pronounced that way... its brooke shields sons name.
I... agree. Not to sound immature, but I was thinking... You wanna name a kid a kind of cheese?
Lol, Srry. I'm in a goofy mood today.
Cindie
Is it pronounced GREE-AIR?
There is a kind of cheese spelled Gruyere (it has an accent above the first e) and it's pronounced GREE-AIR. I'm not trying to say it's not a good name, but it is cheese...so, just a thought. However, it is excellent cheese :)
how do u pronounce it? gry- eer?
