when to set up crib

I have everything for her crib already but I feel like if I was it all now and set it up I'm going to need to wash it all again anyways. I'm only 31+3 weeks.  Have three cats so I'm worried about cat hair getting in there. Should I quit worrying and set it up, or wait to wash everything til my due date is closer?

I don't trust Drop Side Cribs they are considered dangerous I'm sorry to hear that though also Sorry your out money maybe your friend will be understanding and give your money back considering she should have known it was recalled and it's not safe.

Just found out my crib was recalled in 2009. Needless to say I won't be setting it up :/ I bought it from a friend who had her little girl in it for THREE years after the recall. It's a drop side & the metal frame under the mattress can break. Getting a new crib soon

I have had a Crib for a month and a Half now but I won't be setting up until a week before my due date just in case I'm early there is nothing wrong with setting up and putting it all together but I probably wouldn't put the blanket on until right before you have the baby just for cleanliness issues because of the Cats, I love Animals don't have any cats anymore but we have Dogs but they stay outside. Animals can get curious and investigate and you never know how the situation will turn out the baby may move suddenly and startle  them and they unintentionally scratch your baby and cats dig in car litter to cover their poo and sometimes poo gets on their claws and that can transfer to your Baby, I'm sure you know all this but I'm just reminding Sorry for the long comment

We set up the crib as soon as we bought it ! We're sharing the room with the baby since we don't have enough money to move it. ut the good thing is that we don't have cats. We have dogs but they know not to come in, and when they do they dont get on the bed or anything like that.. But i agree, dont let the cats in. Their hair be flying everywhere.

I set my stuff all up at week 38. If it's possible, do not let the cats in the baby room. If your sharing a room with the baby, don't let the cats in your bedroom. I am an animal lover but cats are very filthy. Congrats and good luck.

I am getting the crib tomorrow, and settin that bad boy up!! I two have cats, but one of them has bad knees and cant jump that high, if anything she will go underneath the crib, and the other cat it too aloof to realize. But if he makes his way into the crib, I will just wash the sheets. I'm only 29w
