early pregnancy update

hi,all...i was wondering who else is between 7 and 14 weeks with #1?.How are you guys feeling?Do you have any spotting ?Do your symptoms come and go?I'm in week 8-i think-feeling fine (but fat!),normally i won't have another u/s before early sept but i'm getting really anxious...did you have any tests yet?my best wishes to all of you

Congrats on your BFP X2.. that is great news.. I am 11w3d... just last week I had a spot but that was the only time and it was just a single spot.. it last all day or anything like that.. I was out of town and just got back today, so I haven't called the dr yet.. I'm going to call on monday..

Normally I have a thin build, but I started gaining weight pretty early I think.. all my pants were getting really tight around the waist by7- 8 weeks.. they still fit everywhere else but they are really tight around the waist.. I had to buy a couple of bigger pants/shorts..  I don't consider it a pg belly because I keep thinking that it should start further down by the pelvic bone, but this is more like a pot belly just below the belly button..  this is my first, so I have know idea what to expect.. I had an ectopic back in feb/march but this is my first viable pg..

My symptoms haven't been too bad.. I feel good for most of the day, and then I will hit a wall and I'm tired for the next couple of hours...  I haven't had any morning sickness but some nausea.. I am thirsty all the time.. and the water helps with my nausea.. I get heartburn a lot and take tums for it.. I can't eat big meals.. I get to point that I'm full and I can't eat another bite.. and I often feel miserably full after a meal even tho I didn't overeat.. I'm up a couple times a night going to the bathroom also.. I'm not complaining tho........... I'M LOVING EVER MINUTE OF IT!!!  :)

Sheesh, glad I didn't sound like I was crazy!

Anyone have any weird food aversions/cravings? No cravings, but I can't even LOOK at cheese of ANY kind. Weird because we host cheese and wine parties all the time and I love them all. I actually get sick just smelling or looking at cheese.

reggie.....I feel like I'm on the same ride at disneyland with you!!  I have so much reading etc, that I can't even grasp it all.  I go to my doc in 2wks, I will be 16wks then, and they are going to start doing some tests then, but I don't know what.  I am going to tell them that I am not going to terminate the pregnancy if they find something out, so I'm not sure if that will determine what tests they do?  I'm so confused about all the tests too.

My head was spinning a little at the Dr's office, so in my best description, the quad test is a blood test at 12-13 weeks, then another at 15-16 weeks and they compare the results between the 2 blood tests and add it with the "neck thickness" U/S to determine the odds for Downs and such. My Dr's tell me it's much more accurate that just the one blood test and the "neck thickness" measurement. Anyone else heard of the "quad test?" My Dr's did say not everyone is doing it, so I'm not sure how well known it is.

I got so many booklets and pamphlets and notes ect that I feel a little like I am on a ride at Disneyland and someone will strap me in and check my seatbelt and start the ride and I'll just look around till  my lap bar lifts and I am directed off when it's over.

I got my bella band at a maternity boutique called la te due maternity.  I'm sure that you can find them at most maternity stores, because I had heard about them before I saw it there.

Thank you!  I am not exactly sure what test they are going to give me.  My doctor said they will draw blood and do an u/s at the high risk doctor.  She said they will measure the thickness on the back of the baby's neck.

Yes, that was my very first US.  It was funny, I only had it to rule out ectopic pregnancy.  The tech said, "Well, it's in the uterus, but. . . "  and I was a little worried.  I thought maybe there was something wrong.  She said, "But there are two."  I was shocked.  I never even thought of that as a possibility.  I have a regular appointment with my OB in the middle of September.  I'll see what he has to say then.

hi reggie! can i ask you,what does the quad test involve exactly and when is done?well,i had an amnio in my prev pg,i lost it because of it,so it's not the pain but its risk you have to assess..good luck!

Wow! Twins!! My husband would be jealous, he was hoping for 2. That's so exciting for you, great news.

Anyone here had the Amnio yet? I am doing a Quad test, I'm 37 and I guess depending on the results, I'll get the Amnio. I heard it  was very painful, I freak out a little about the needle.

OK - update.  I had the US I was dreading today, and, to my shock . . . I'm having twins.  Yep, two.  No fertility drugs - au natural - twins.  Two.  Oh my God.

Hi, I will be 14wks tomorrow.  I have not had any spotting, not even implantation bleeding.  Still really tired, no morning sickness (thank goodness), going to the bathroom a lot still (especially at night).  In the past week, I have had several headaches, and at night my sinuses seemed to be stopping up.  I also wake up in the middle of the night and I'm sooooo thirsty!!  My appetite has improved, and when it used to take very little to fill me up, now I'm starting to eat more, and also more frequently.  My clothes are getting tighter.  I just bought one of those bella bands to use with my shorts and capri's, hoping that I can make it a little while longer with my regular clothes since the season is changing soon.  A bella band is like a tube that you put over your unbuttoned pants, it's really neat.  Good luck to everyone!

I'm 12w 1d with 2nd pregnancy (1rst MC @ 8 wks) We go in on the 23rd for our first obgyn appt.  No spotting - no ms - lots of peeing tho - hungry ALL the time although it takes very little to fill me up - still dealing with the tiredness - waist is expanding - just hoping all is well!

I am also 8 weeks, but this is not my first child.  My morning sickness comes and goes and my pants are getting tighter!  I had my second u/s yesterday and the heartbeat was 176.  My doctor said that everything is progressing well.  I go to a high risk doctor in 2 weeks to be tested for down syndrome, etc., then I'll go back to my regular doctor the week after that.  Good luck!!!  :)

I'm 8 weeks pregnant with pregnancy #4 (1st ectopic, 2nd son, 3rd MC @14 wks).  I have bad morning sickness and I'm tired.  I have no spotting with this one, but did with the miscarriage.  I'm going for an US this afternoon b/c of my history of ectopic.  I'm not looking forward to it.  I don't want anyone messing with anything down there.  I've lost 5 lbs already because of the morning sickness, now I only weigh 100 lbs (I'm 5'2").  I think I have to go throw up.
