braxton hicks???

I'm 26 weeks pregnant, went to the er on Saturday due to what I thought was premature labor. Many test were administered all coming back negative, I was told my cervix is nice & thick. My concern is, I'm still having contractions & I feel the baby moving quite a bit below my pubic line. Is that too low, should I be concerned?

I just spent 3 days in hospital and I am 30 weeks.  It surely was not fun.  I was told if I start to feel the braxton hicks to lay down & start drinking lots of water.  It may be that you are getting dehydrated.  Hang in there.

The girl next to me was 24 weeks prego & the NICU came & told her what would happen if she gives birth now...... I assure you, you don't want to go there.  Very dangerous.

All very normal...uncomfortable, but normal.  I went through this from about 30 weeks until I delivered at 38 weeks.  It was off and on.  Trying is correct...lots of fluids helped.  If the contractions begin coming consistently though, do not hesitate to go back.  I always worried about going in too often, but always better to be safe then sorry.  Your in the home stretch!  Only 14 weeks to go.
