I would totally love to get a brazilian wax but everyone has me so scared that since you have more blood flow it hurts that much more......so I don't think I'll have the guts....but I sure want to I'm having trouble shaving cause my belly is in the way I can't see what I'm doing.
I wanted a brazilian before I was pg but the pain has scared me... have you ever had one? Anyway... I am getting a c section too.. and I guess I will just let them shave the part that they need... haha... good luck
last year, i opted to try one of those at home brazilian waxes. I am by no means a wilda beast(hairy) but thought well summer is coming I am going to try this, oh HE LL noooooooo!! I got the wax on and gently tried to pull it off, the pain was unbearable. There I was with a washcloth with hot soap and water trying to get the wax off, I managed to yank a few hairs out and I thought I was going to die. I am convinced that has to be the most sensitive place on the body, of course having someone do it may not be as bad, for all those that go for it, I say godspeed!!! its not for me!
I've tried the at home kits it hurt but no to bad and I don't have a good pain tolerance.....but I've never had the nerve to get a professional job......to scared to show my goods to some stranger.....LOL but I think I'd love the result...
hahaha,,,, well I have tried to tug a little and ouch... I think it must just kill like crazy unless they can give me Novocain or something hahaha
And I'm just scared of the phone call, ha ha... I don't want the full deal, just about and inch worth over the scar and a bit under. Oh,.....what to do, what to do......My dh gave me a maternity massage with pedicure and manicure. They do waxing there too, maybe I'll check into it :) thanks for your thoughts!!
I think the line of the c section wouldn't hurt too bad.. if they do it for a living they get a lot of calls I am sure... but... what if one gets ingrown or something.. I don't know I am just going to let them shave..
LOL maybe it's possible to get them to shave it all since I haven't seen down there in a while I have no clue what it's like....LOL
If you shave yourself, use a mustache trimmer instead of a regular razor....less irritation.
OH!!!! ouch!!!!!!!!! I am a chicken sh*t when it comes to 'down there' man!!!
Girl, you are so brave to even think about it! lol.... i prefer my good ole' razor and some soap... or the one razor for girls (forgot the name) that comes with a soapy thing around the razor! that works wonders!
Girl, i can't believe you are so far! did you hit the big 3-0 mark yet????
i am an esthetician and i do waxing. i do have women that are prego come in and get waxed. some women do have more pain due to the hormones at the time. get a good waxer and you should be fine. :)
So is it embarassing? Can i keep my undies on and just pull them down for them to wax the scar? hee, hee?
V-Yes, 30 weeks on wednesday. I answered to cpaow's e-mail but I think I got lost in the rucous!
so what is the pain comparable too?
yeah, i think MedHelp did kick the 'bug' out.... or at least stoped 'it' for now...
I feel bad for cpatow since her thread got all messed up for stupidity!
I can't believe we are this far girl!!! i was thinking about you the other day, remember when we were going nuts trying to buy or rent or find dopplers to listen to our little one's hearbeats?? lol... i still have the thing in my closet! lol... i should send it back! i don't even use it anymore! i feel her move constantly! thank God... =)
V- Keep it, mine has lasted me this and my last pregnancy. I also have 3 sisters and you are GOD when you have a doppler :) Charge rentals!!! Post some new pic's girly!!
I think I'm going to have a full audience for this baby, so I'm not sure I want to be sporting a Brazilian in front of my mother in law. Then again, a hip to hip ain't all that pretty either!
omg.. your letting your mother in law in? wow... yea... I would go for the brizilian look then..
LOL!!!!!!!
a hip-to-hip!!!
i think, girl, no matter how prettied-up your hoohee is, by that time... it's gonna get ugly regardless!! you are so brave for having your MIL there!!! i told my mom she was NOT allowed in there, i wanna scream out of my lungs and i am sure i'd be more worried about her being cough on time before she hits the floor (passed out) than my baby crowning!
I wanna be comfortably in pain... ya know?? lol ;)
yea.. vsent.. was going to say... How can you make a cheeseburger crotch look good??
I already did try to shave, just to clean up some. and Im sure I made a bigger mess of myself! Ill try again just for swimming weather. got to get alittle color on me. I got this winter white look going and hate it!
I dont think I will be to concerned about what others think about my hootchey, funny how you tend to loose your shyness at that time.. lol
OHHHH!!!! that is too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a cheeseburguer crotch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!
girl, thanks for ruining McDonald's for me today.... lol!! just teasing! ;P
oh yeah, i don't wanna be all shy and sucking up pain... or ugliness... im sure im gonna scream, kick, grab dh's hairs and pull them..., curse, spread my legs, fart, poop.....
and really, knowing my mother... i KNOW she will either be yelling at me for 'loosing my maners' or passing out on the floor after the first scream or squirt of blood.....
hehehehe too funny....
Yes, they use the same scar location (basically...if they can see it...) you can shave or wax or whatever, but on c-day they are going to check and shave whatever they feel needs to be removed. With a fresh sharp safety razor no less, and yes, I got nicked twice the second time around! So much for safety.
Looking back, I think a nice waxing would be better at the location of the c-section plus an inch or two above and below just for the tape and the bandaging. Tape and hair....not a good combination ... OUCH! And you know that no matter how far down you wax, shave, some hair is going to find its way under the tape.
I just had a c-section not even two weeks ago. I have never had a wax so I just didn't worry about it. The nurse said "I'm going to do ite you now" and I told her, "I was going to o it for you but I haven't seen down there in months". She just started laughing and they barely shaving anything anyway.
Vsentz: Congrats on the new job!!!
In the childbirth classes, they told us NOT to shave or wax down there because there's a risk of infection with any nicks, or open pores and that if they need to do a c-section they will shave what they need to.
Oh, I'll probably do a quick trim with a razor and that's about it. My mother in law and I are very close (she was in the room with DD). This time, I'll probalby have my mother in law, aunt, sister and best friend. It's such a cool experience I want to share. I'd be happy if they stayed at the head of the bed though.
With DD, my DH so eloquently told me that I crapped myself. Nice.
Funny how you don't even care at the time though.
