Having had IVF to get pregnant, followed by a loss is a double whammy.  I am so so very sorry.

Although I have experienced first trimester loss, it was not following IVF, so I am not certain how long they will want you to wait.  I can tell you that with natural conception followed by first trimester loss, every Dr. has different thoughts. Mine always wanted me to wait one full cycle. When that happens can also be different for everyone.  For me, it was typically about 5 weeks after the miscarriage was complete (this includes having a D&C).  My son was actually conceived immediately following a miscarriage (an early one with no medical intervention required).  I had no trouble at all.

It is always best to follow your Dr.'s guidelines and suggestions.  He/she knows you best, knows your history and is usually acting in your best interests.  I am glad to hear you are going to try again.  Please remember that as heartbreaking as this is, having had one loss does not increase your odds of another.  Most women will experience a loss at some point, and the majority go on to have healthy normal pregnancies.  Wishing you all the best.
