Tanker is correct just a few hours could have made a difference tog et you to the 50. I wouldnt worry about it tooooo much LOL Let us know how it goes tomorrow. good luck
I have had an IUD for almost 5 years, I started bleeding and passing clots a couple of weekends ago... Went to have the IUD removed and found out I was about 6 weeks pregnant. I thought I had miscarried but when I had a sonogram the same day there was a baby with a heartbeat way up in my uterus. Also the technician told me that I released two eggs so they think I may have miscarried a twin. I went in the next day to have the IUD removed and had a little brown discharge for about 2 days. I also had a couple of beta screenings. One on 09/5 (11,178) and the other on 09/07 (13,293). Doctor said that does'nt look very promising. I also read on the internet that you usually can't see a heart beat on a sonogram until 7 weeks. Could I be further along? The doctor initially thought that my uterus felt about 11 or 12 weeks. Given all these obstacles is it probable that I not miscarry. I have 3 children and a stepdaughter, and certainly did'nt plan on having anymore.....but now I am a little excited and definitely worried... so many different emotions. I go back a week from tomorrow for another sono. I am also concerned about my lower back pain. I am also 39.
Thank you everyone this has made me feel a little better. We are trying to keep our heads up! My next test is Wednesday so I will let you know.
I don't think that number is low for this early, and the difference between 31 and 50 is pretty insignificant. Your hcg should double every 48 to 72 hours, so if you would have taken your blood test just a couple of hours later, it may have been at the 50 mark.
At this early, I think 31 is just fine.. there is plenty of time for that number to shoot through the roof..
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BFP!! YOU DID IT!!
I started with a 29 and I AM 9 WEEKS THURSDAY AND HAVE HEARD A STRONG HEARTBEAT TWICE..hang in their..i think it will be ok,,good luck
You may just have some late implanters or just naturally produce lower hcg levels. Or, this could indicate a chemical pregnancy. But, you really aren't that far off of 50, so it could be okay. You really won't know until you get to beta number two and see whether this number doubles or not. I have heard stories of it going either way. I wish you luck.
When is your next beta?
