I'm probably gonna catch heck for this but Saraya sleeps in hers....I KNOW YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO LET THEM SLEEP ON IT I SEE THE WARNING TAG...she hates sleeping EVERYWHERE these days and wont sleep for more than 20 mins on her bach....so we use it to  prop her up on her back or tummy to sleep...WITH DH OR MYSELF RIGHT THERE.
I love it for nursing but find it could be fuller on the ends and sometimes still put a pillow under it

http://www.boppy.com/use

Here is the boppy pillow website, which might help. I loved my boppy pillow and found it very helpful during breastfeeding sessions. My babies were bigger (9 and 10 pounds), so the extra support under my arms to help hold baby up was much needed. There are many other uses too . . . the website gives some ideas.

I plan to purchase a new slipcover for mine. After two babies with the same blue alphabet theme, I think a change would be nice and there are so many cute slip covers to choose from now too!

I used it for feeding all the time.  I sat with it around my waste.  Then put the baby on its side and feed away.  I did find that lying down and feeding was a bit easier though...

I sat on mine comming home from the hospital. what a relief it was... I needed that hole,

I never used it for breast feeding... I wanted to hold her in my arms. I like the body to body contact
.
while the baby is learning to sit up... it helps break the fall..

you put the baby thru it for added suport for the neck while teaching to hold the bottle.. the little elbows up on the pillow where it has the open end is the perfect hight for where her arms are up to tilt the bottle.

Hey... not a stupid question at all.. these are just the things I used it for... really not sure what the main purpose is for ..lol you have my attention though.. If I cant get it here gonna look it up myself. smile
