its starting to become a problem for me as well .and im not even 30 weeks yet, i can just imagine what it will be like then. good thing is for u ladies who are 36+ ur almost done:) i toss and turn alot. the hip pain, arm falling asleep, back ache, trips to the bathroom all the above and im only 24.5 wks. i gotta alot to go. we gotta hang in there for our little ones. i have now finally realized my life is forver changed now. but i luv it!! wouldnt trade it for nothing!:)
I agree with Sheila - Feed, burp, change, pump, sleep, feed.... Enjoy whatever sleep you get now because you won't be getting any after the baby gets here!!! I do have to say that I am much more comfortable now sleeping than before but it only comes in one to two hour spurts especially if you breastfeed!!! I am dreaming of the day I can sleep for six hours in a row or more!!!

Isabelle is 3w1d old!!
Man, I hear you ladies.
I take benadryl after a few bad nights in a row.
Has anyone tried yoga? My husband is convinced that's the cure. I just can't deal with all that 'ommmmmming'. Plus, doing the downward dog with my fat a$$ would be a joke!
Wow... last night wasn't so bad, and I feel soooooo much better... it is amazing how much better you feel after a decent night sleep. I still woke up 5 or 6 times but none of the endless tossing and turning and I actually slept until my alarm went off at 6 a.m. I feel like new woman today!!
I have some straight benadryl.. i might try that if it gets bad again.. which I'm sure it will...
Reno, I wish I could tell you I'll wait for you.. but if I get my chance, I'm taking it. :) Actually starting next week.. I start program OIL - "operation induce labor" lots of walking and bding.. It might not work but heck, it could be fun trying :)
only way I can almost get comfortable is on my back if I lay on my side which ever baby is on that side kicks the **** outa me they don't like it at all.
I'm just like brown eyed gurl....can't sleep for nothing and I can't find any spot that will allow me a straight 4 hrs or more. Miserable at 3 months!!!!!
For my 32w ,I think I 'm still sleeping quite well, just a couple of trips to the loo,but I've only had a couple of sleepless nights so far.I guess it will get worse..
Reno and Tanker, big fat CONGRATS on your succesful baking,so far!!Wow,you have both made it to 36+,you're so close now...Keep baking though,so that you get two well-done/delicious/juicy fat little babies!
Gosh look what I have to look forward to it's only gonna get worse....I'm already having the sleepless nights I sware I look 5+ months and am just barely 3.....
In all honesty Hannah - I have been really hesitant to take ANY type of medication including a Rolaid during the pregnancy - and if I hadn't scared myself falling asleep at the red light - I wouldn't be taking the Tylenol PM because I worry that I'm medicating Abby Rose as well as myself - but if I cause harm to myself or Abby because I"m not sleeping ..........well....................... take a Tylenol PM and get a nights worth of sleep - you'll feel better for it and you can't care of the baby if you don't first take care of yourself
and no - nothing can happen yet - she still has three weeks to bake and I need those three weeks to get her room done - hopefully we'll be painting on Saturday - you just want me to have mine so you can have yours - LOL - nice try kiddo!!!! You aren't allowed to go until after I do !!!!
Ohhhh.. I'm so glad I'm not there yet with this pregnancy, but I remember those couple of miserable last months! I was big as a house--really. My belly was almost 60" around with a singleton and I was a size 8, 5'6". I was never comfortable, but especially at night. My answer was an incline pillow, like you get at Relax the Back and a separate wedge for under my knees. I did better if I never laid down flat . My last month was spent "sleeping" on the sofa feelings very sorry for myself :0(
Thanks everyone for the input... looks like there is basically no cure for the preggo insomnia.. well unless you wanna medicate.. which normally i would be totally down for that :) but I don't know.. I'll try to tough it out for now..
Reno, Big O Congrats on 37wks.. She is full term now!! Great things could happen any moment now!!
hmmmmm - I think I vaguely remember sleep - its gotten so bad that I actually fell asleep last week sitting at a red light - dr suggested Tylenol PM - she says its only tylenol and benadryl - as for smooshing the baby - lol - I am still trying to sleep on my tummy - its not that easy - but she tends to make space for herself even laying like that - so I'm not too worried about her - plus the fact that she is most active at three in the morning - I doubt I'm smooshing her - quit worrying and sleep anyway anytime anyhow you can now - because very soon - neither of us will be getting any sleep!!!

37wks today
no much longer hehehe it only gets worse once they get here :O}
I actually propped myself up a little and slept that way (kinda in a more sitting postion)
Saraya and I now sleep on the couch so DH can sleep LOL I miss those nights of 5 hrs or so with ONLY getting up to pee...now its feedings, pumping, changin, burping
Good luck ladies
Hi Hannah,
Sleep??? what the heck is that!..lol right there with you firl. I have not slept more than 3-4 hrs straight in almost 1 1/2 months....
Sorry your going thru this too, not to much longer, hang in there! I guess it is natures way of preparing us for the many many long sleepless nights to come =)
Know we are all with you and share your pains and frustration!

I've become so used to not sleeping through the night that now I just take naps often through out the day and night. I think it could be natures way teaching me to sleep when the baby does except.. when I lay down, the lil stinker wakes up and moves all over!! hehe Brayden and I are going to have to have a serious talk soon!! hehe
I am certainly with you! I can only imagine how hard it is going to be the further along I get. Ugh!
I'm doing the same thing Hannah. I just use one body pillow at night, and have found if I fold it up(or over) when I get up to go potty or switch sides during the night, it works better. At first I would try to move the whole pillow, then I figured out it is easier for me to move and leave it in the same spot. I get my best sleep when I first go to bed, sometimes 3 hours if I am lucky. Once I am up, then it is every 1 1/2 to 2 hours, and like you I am lucky to sleep past 4:30. My nasal congestion keeps me awake alot too. And I lean on my belly and feel like I am smooshing him too, ha ha, I feel bad about it every night, but if I lay on my side, I can't walk when I get up, my hips hurt so bad. You are several weeks ahead of me, and I can only imagine how uncomfortable it is, I will find out soon enough, smile. I can only say maybe it will prepare us some for those late night, all night, feedings.
Sleep???? What's that? I have to tell you I get about 4 hrs on average a night now, and that was before I got the flu now I just get up go downstairs and ball my eyes out b/c its no use in keeping everyone else up. I can hardly turn from side to side now at 30 wks 1 day, I'll need a bulldozer to move me soon!!!uhggggggggg
