I am on chlomide for a second month. Last cycle I was on 50 mg once a day but on 21st day when I went for my pregestrone test, i saw that I did not ovulate. Now I am my second round cycle day 18th , took 50mg twice a day(morning an night-days 5-9). we have bough a easy blue ovulation monitor for $200 dollars an its supose to be better then opk to let you know when are you going to ovulate. I been doing this test everydat frst thing in the morning for the past week. I am on day 18 and the monitor still only shows high(two bars-meaninging furtile) but not the very fertile(three bars and an egg) . does that mean that I did not ovulate ? HOw can I not ovulate for 3 months in a row? I am confused and dissapointed
Thanks
I have never taken metformin, but I was on chlomide for 4 (maybe 5) months. It definately lengthened my cycle. I ovulated later and my period showed up later as well. Keep in mind that one of the things chlomide does is increase your progesterone, so it's very common to have pregnancy like symptoms. I take prometrium which can do the same thing. Progesterone is actually what causes most pregnancy symptoms, not HCG. On more then one occasion while on chlomide I would have sworn I was pregnant when I was not. However, it the side effects of either are really bothering you, or you are concerned, you should always let your Dr. know. If you believe you may be pregnant, ask for bloodwork. Good luck to you, and I wish you well.
