Oh so bummed...I think I'm seeing stretch marks appearing on stomach :-(

I can't see them for sure but when I scrunch my skin together I think I'm starting to see stretch marks appearing on my stomach :-(  I know this is so petty but I didn't get them with my daughter and now I'm thinking they will definitely appear with this pregnancy :-(  Anything I can do to keep them away?

I think a better description regarding stretchmarks is that there is a "genetic factor" involved that influences your likelihood of developing them (so yes, skin elasticity is very important but that is something that comes from your genetic make-up).

The overall scope?  Just like the other ladies have said.  Creams will not do a thing since stretch marks are formed deep within the skin so a topological cream will not be effective.

Well, I know my mom didn't have any stretch marks after having three kids and then became very heavy as she got older. I got them with my first pregnancy. So I don't believe they are hereditary. It is how elastic your skin is.

Here's the divy on stretch marks...they are hereditary.  All the palmers, cocoa butter, and vit E cream will do nothing but make your skin soft as butter : )

I don't know if it's actually making a difference or not, but I slather on the vitamin e cream and cocoa butter.  I practically bathe in the stuff..lol.  I had a few friends recommend it and figured it couldn't hurt.  Nothing so far, but again I don't know if it's the actual creams  or just nothing has appeared yet.
