37 wk U/s

Hey gals,

I had my 37wk u/s this week and I found out that my little man is weighing in at 7.5pounds. Wow!! he is going to be big. My doctor told me is measuring bigger 3 out of 4 babies. We were told this was great, being that he will be undergoing heart surgery a week after he is born. Side note: He was so cute during the u/s he was sticking out his tongue and waving his hands and yes this was a 2D u/s. My doctor is an at-risk doctor and he has great machine!!

It seems like everything is coming so fast. I will be induced on June 11th, due the fact that we have to have him two  hours away from home, because he will be have heart surgery in New Orleans. They bascially told us that we could be spending any where btw a month to three over there. My husbands boss some how got us connected with these wonderful people who have an extra condo. They are letting us stay there free of charge!!! We are so excited about bringing him into the world, but we are so dreading the surgery and recovery. I just want hug and kiss all over him and take him home.

Sorry for the long post, I hope everyone is enjoying their pregnancy or having fun spoiling those new little babies!!!

Take care ladies,
Rachel

AWE!! Thank you!!! You gals just made my day!!!

allip68- I did not start seeing an at risk doctor until had my mc. I hated the ob I was going to so I wanted to switch anyway. When I heard about my current doctor and how great he was that's what made me want to go to him. I was not and I am currently not considered at-risk, but if it was not for I would know about my baby's heart condition. I feel like I had a mc for a reason and my little angel took me to this wonderful doctor who could care for his mommy better!!! It is totally normal for you to be stressing, it is a stressful situation. It took me two long years to finally get where I am and I know you would do anything to protect your baby, no matter how early the pregnancy is. Please keep me posted.

Thisbabygrama- I can't believe you remember me!! Thanks for all your prayers and your kind words. We are hoping that we won't need surgery. During the u/s my dh and I were convinced that his heart looked "normal". I put holy water on my belly and pray everyday for my little man and we are so hoping for a miracle.  Thank you so much for your inspiration!!!

Thanks for making my day,
Rachel

Congratulations, rachel; that is SUCH awesome news.  brought tears to my eyes knowing how happy you must be.  I have a question - why are you seeing an at-risk doctor?  you responded to my other post about bleeding; is this what made you an at-risk pregnancy?  thank you.  you can see I'm stressing a lot right now...
