Ginger pills for morning sickness

I have read that it is safe to take ginger tablets for morning sickness.  Has anyone been told by their doctor not to take it?
Thanks,
Suzanne

i have constant nausea........Altiods the mints you buy in the store make a ginger mint.  It works wonders on my tummy.  I can't see where that would be a prob.  Im not preggo's but always best to ask your doc.  Also, you might try .......cant remember who makes the mints, but they are in a round green plastic container with a sparkly top.  The spearmint one's also work well for my nausea.............but I swear by the Altoids ginger brand. Good luck.

thank you for your help.  I have spoken to my doctor and they prescribed b6 as well.  I hope it starts working-I just started it today.  I have wanted to be pregnant for so long and took so many steps to get here, and now I am hating the morning sickness-which really lasts all day. Thanks for your kind words about my husband.  He does what he does for people like you.

After typing in, taking ginger while pregnant into google, most websites say "do not take ginger while pregnant without consulting with doctor" and that it should only be taken in dosage recommended by your doctor. I know that I was prescibed b6 to help with nausea but no mention of ginger. If you are considering taking it, I would definitely speak with doctor first. Herbs during pregnancy can be tricky. Good luck to you! hope the morning sickness passes VERY soon !!!

And Thank you to you and your Husband. God bless America and all the people who keep our freedom.
