please help me with my OPK-Im a beginner

I am new at OPKs, but have been trying to conceive for quite some time.  Please help me out.  My periods are every 21-24 days and about 8 days long.  This all began after my miscarriage in March.  When do you think I should start checking for ovulation?  What day should I start?  My doctors tell me soon after my period is over.  I think that's too soon.  I do have a tracker, but Im still confused.  Please help me out.  I just had a sonohysterogram yesterday, and I didn't want to begin my OPK today since Im still spotting from the procedure.

usually they have recommendations or when to begin testing based upon the length of your cycle.  I buy the inexpensive strips online so I don't have to worry about testing too soon and I also try and test twice a day.

Check out peeonastick.com and there is a TON of information there!  But I would think at CD 9, you might want to start testing NOW!  I have tested and seen a fade-in, fade out pattern where I get one light test line result and then next day is the dark one you're looking for.  Good luck!!!
