TWW, more like three wks after HCG injection

Don't you just hate the two week window to do that hpt??  For me, it is actually more like three weeks since I took the HCG injections this cycle.  My RE wants to to be sure it is out of my system so I don't get a false positive.  So, he wants me to wait 16 days after my last injection which would be November 18th.  Ugh.  I took the trigger shot on October 27th.

This seems like an utter eternity.  On the bright side, my house is pretty darn clean!  I've been keeping myself busy to keep my mind off of it.

Anyone else going through the TWW right now?  Or, if you are currently pregnant, what have you done in the past to "pass the time" during the TWW??  It's a pretty crazy time.

Nothing like a vacation to keep you distracted.  We are going away this weekend which will help tremendously!  When we come back, I'll only have three more days to go before I can test.  So that should help pass the time :)

Jennyb473, hope you go somewhere fun!

I am not in the TWW yet, but will be soon.  I finished my clomid last night, and have 2 days of Bravelle in me so far.  I go to the doctor tomorrow to see how I'm doing and determine how many more days on the Bravelle before I trigger.  I will be leaving for vacation on the 20th, so hopefully being away will be a little bit of a distraction for me.   I don't know what my RE will tell me about when to test, but I know I'll have a really hard time not testing while I'm on vacation!  I'll want to test by the 29th or 30th and we won't be home until the 1st late.  I assume I'll go for a blood test on the 2nd - but who knows.  It is so hard to wait!!!!!!

Thanks Amanda!  Yeah, it is kind of funny what you'll do sometimes to keep your mind off of things.  Does anybody else have any stories, or anything funny that they'd like to share?

We all do such a great job at supporting each other during our down times, I thought I'd try and get a lighthearted thread going....

I was never very good at waiting.  I was a true pee on a stick addict.  Even now, at 28 weeks pregnant I have to fight the urge to buy FRER....lol.  I know in your case you can't test early as you run the risk of false positives after a trigger shot.  I was always testing 5 or 6 days after O.  I wish I could give you good advice on how to pass the time...personally I did it by obsessing..sorry, I'm not much help, but I wanted to wish you lots and lots of SSBD!!!!  Good luck!
