Vit B6 for nausea????

Hey Ladies,

Ok I have been fighting nausea for the past 6-7 weeks... I have taken phenagen but it makes me soooo groggy...ugggh So I want to try the B6... how much do I take on top of the prenatal?? I bought a bottle of 50 mg tablets?????? and how often do you take it? any info on this experience would help! thanks ladies

Hi, I am feeling good now, every once in a while I feel a lil nauseous, but it isn't anything like I was feeling. The kind I get are a "NOW" brand Look for the vitamin...  L-Methionine 500 mg with Vitamin B-6. I got mine at Healthy Habits.. or.. GNC. Whom ever carries NOW products should have it.

thank you all for the input.... Patty I cant find B6 under 50 mg???? so I guess I will hold off till next Tues when I see the Doc.... it has gotten better the last week, but I just want it to go away..it has been a long 6+ weeks of this. I just want to feel better =( I know it all for a great reason, I just need some relief from it .
I will 11 weeks on Tues, so they say it should be completey gone by 14 wks for most women... ohhhh how I keep praying! Patty how are you feeling???? hows the lil bean???? Now you say Methionine?is that a brand name or a differnt vitamin with B6?

I do cpatow, I take Methionine w/B6 along with my prenatal Primacare One. My prenatal Vitamin also has B6 25 mg in them, I take the extra because I am so  nauseous. It does seem to help.

Do you take that IN ADDITION to your prenatals? I noticed my prescribed prenatals also have Vitamin B but it doesn't specify if it is B6, which lends me to believe it's not.

I wrote back to you in the other post too, I take 20 mg 3 times daily. Actually, I forgot to mention.. I the kind I take is NOW Brand L. Methionine with added B6 I take one capsule 3 times daily. Ohhhh.. they stink!! But they do work.

My OB gave me a script for Premesis - it is a script prenatal for pregnant women with nausea.  It has all the B-6 you need.  It's prescription only because of the folic acid in it.
