NEED ADVICE! lowish HCG, but heart beat visable

Hi all,
We had our first u/s today. Saw the yolk sac, fetal pole, and the heartbeat. :o)  Felt great when we left. Got our second hcg tests results just now, and it was on the low end. Doc said it's still in the normal range, but lower than they would have imagined at 6 weeks. I'm thinking that maybe I'm only at 5 weeks (if I ovulated late), and maybe that's why the hcg is on the low end of the scale. It was 60.6 two weeks ago and today it's at 4355. My DH and I wish we didn't do the blood test today so we could just be happy with the results of the u/s. Instead, we are both really worried now.
Has anyone out there had similar numbers?
Thanks!

Oh one more thing.. implantation occurs between around 6 and 12 days past o.  So if you implanted on the later or earlier end, that will also greatly effect your hcg levels in early pg..

Congrats again.. take care.

Since you don't know the exact what day you ovulated, I wouldn't worry to much.. 4500 maybe a little low for 6wks, but if you are just a couple days off, that number is going to change dramatically.

The hd is a really good sign!!  Congrats momma!!

it's hard not to worry when the np sounded surprised at the numbers! Uggh! I just wish there was someone out there who had similar numbers, and everything worked out okay in the end.

we go back tomorrow for an us/ with the doctor (instead of the np). I don' think he's going to do another blood test, just another u/s. But it will be good to talk to the doc and hopefully be reassured by him that being at the low end of the hcg spectrum is okay.
