am i pregnant

hi, so i have been taking the pill since november well if i miss one pill i seem to always start my period well at the last week when your suppose to start your period i always start on the 2 to 3 day on it. well this month may 15 i was suppose to start and last month i started april 13 and it was only like 2 days long and extremely light. well i still havent started my period which leaves me like 12 or 13 days late. i am really confused right now cause with my first son i wasnt on birthcontrol and i got a positive test. well this time i have gotten nothing but negative test. my boobs are somewhat tender i have getting heartburn, headachs and slight feeling dizzy. i dont know if its my mind thats getting to me i havent been under any stress. could it be that i am not pregnant and my birthcontrol making me feel this way? or is there a chance i could be pregnant and its just to early to test if i am?????

I agree with adgal. Many things can cause a missed period. What type of birth control pill are you taking?

Home pregnancy tests are extremely accurate when used properly.  If you are 12 or 13 days late, it is unlikely it would show negative if you are pregnant. HCG levels would be high enough for any home test to pick them up.  Symptoms don't really mean anything as there are many things that can cause the same symptoms.  I would see my Dr. in a situation like this.  Things like this happen from time to time and he can give you something to "jump start" your period.  He/she can also perform a blood test just to make sure it's not pregnancy, but it really doesn't sound like it is.  Good luck to you.
