That which does not kill us only makes us stronger...
I swore by that quote while going through my cancer journey. That saying holds true! Hang in there have faith. Good luck!
That's a relief to hear. Breast cancer runs in my family and that is why I am a little nervous about it. I know it's also curable as long as it's caught early. It's just that I've been through so much emotionally that this is the last thing I wanted to have to deal with. Like the saying goes, That which does not kill us only makes us stronger...
Im sorry you are going through this.
I have never had cancer but a few years ago found a lump in my breast - I was 31 at the time. The doctor did an US and mammogram a week later which showed it to be a benign. It was very scary and of course I was worried about it being the c-word. I want to point out that the majority of lumps found are non-cancerous. You may not even need surgery - it depends on what it is (for example, certain cysts may just be left alone and monitored or can be "drained" very easily with a small needle).
Thank you for sharing that with me. I am so glad that it all worked out for you. I am hoping that it is benign and can maybe be removed with little or no change to the breast. I don't want to have to put ttc on hold. I will be 41 in February. I wanted to have another baby before 40 and since that didn't happen, I'd like to see it happen before I turn 42. I don't think I'd be up to trying after that. Best of luck with your pregnancy!! Thanks again for your positive thoughts and prayers....
Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am 36 years old.
I am a Cancer survivor, I had a cancerous tumor in my small intestine. I didnt have to have chemo or radiation due to the surgery taking care of it. I had a section of my colon, small intestine and my appendix removed exactly one year ago today. I am currently 13 weeks pregnant. I had been trying to TTC before my diagnosis in Sept 08. I was going with the if it happens it happens theory and it worked for me. Best of luck to you and I will keep you in my prayers!
I hope all turns out well for you! I do personally know anyone who has had a baby after the C word in saying that I do not know many people who have had cancer. I do have a friend who discovered breast cancer while pg she was 7 months, long sotry short she and her 5 year old son are great! Best of luck. My sister is a nurse and works with cancer patients at Johns Hopkins hospital she has mentioned people freezing the eggs of children before chemo to preserve fertility. I know you have a lot on your plate best of luck keep us posted.
I don't take fertility drugs, only vitamins. I was going to start Black Cohosh too, went and bought it and everything and the doctor told me that one was a no no if I am trying to conceive. I'm hoping it is just a cyst or blocked glands. Thanks for the feedback. I will let you all know. I needed to talk about this because I don't really have anyone that I can talk to here that would understand.
Hi there. It can be a non-benign cyst so you don't have to go there just yet. That can happen if you've been taking any fertility drugs for extended periods.
I will be sending you my prayers for good results next Wednesday!
I have not had this experience, but I do want to wish you well, and I'll be thinking of you on the 11th!
