heart rates?

Hi,
   Just for fun I was seeing what some of your heart rates were at your check ups...I dont believe that there is any correlation between boy and girl based on the heart rates but who knows!!  My OB says that all babies start out fast in the beginning then slow by 20.
At 8 weeks mine was 170
12 weeks 160
13 weeks 158
So it keeps going down I guess!

Heart Rate wise tale???

I have had three children...... I was always told that heart rate above 140 is a girl and below is a boy!......  My 1st son was around 160 throughout my whole pregnancy untill labor 120-130! My second a Girl... was 140's until labor it when up to 160's... ans my third a boy.. was always 150-160's and was a BOY!!!

I would tell my doc that they were wrong it is a girl,...... he would just laugh at me and say there is not much thruth to that.....! and he was right.....lol

So I would say just by experince did not work out for me!...... Hopefully all t he ultrasound pan out right!... Good luck to all of you, let us know what the lil ones  are~ =)

mine was 152 at 8 weeks.  with the at-home doppler it is still about the same at 12 weeks.

I like all the names you picked out - especially the girl names.  It is so much fun finding girl names.  We were lucky, we both liked Peyton right away - my husband has a very challenging personality - so I thought it was going to be more challenging than it actually was.  Good luck to you and stay in touch and let me know how you are doing!

We will find out the sex at 20 weeks. Congrats on the boy!!!  So you dont follow the old wives tale that a boy has a heart rate under 140..I dont believe all that anyways:)

LOL.  My husband is excited about the deduction as my due date is December 18th.  We did IVF, so we know we are having a boy, he is very excited about that too, and so am I.    We are naming him Peyton John.  Have you thought a baby names yet?  Do you know what you are having?

17.5..awesome...so are you going to find out the sex of the baby?  You're probably due mid December then I'm guessing..cool...you'll meet the tax deadline:):)

Now, I am 17.5 weeks along.  I rented one of those at home dopplers, so I get it check the HR anytime I want to.  The HR averages between 145 and 151daily.

My last two visits the HR was 150.
I was 11 1/2 weeks and 15 1/2 weeks preggers.

I'd like to hear of some people who already know the baby's gender and what their BPM are?!!!

That is exactly what happened in my case.  I started at 170 at 8 weeks, then by 13 weeks, 151.
