Just had Pap Smear- Now I am Spotting- AF not due until Monday

Hey ladies,

I just had my pap smear about an hour ago. I noticed right after I felt really wet... sorry. So I wiped before getting dressed and there was pink blood on the tissue. I wiped several times and it was still there. When I got home it was very light almost gone. Could I have started my period early because of this????

Has anyone else ever had bleeding after an exam????

I am not sure if I need to stop my progesterone cream. Do I count this has day one. This makes me so confused because I am starting Clomid again this cycle and I need to know if this is the real deal!!!!

Thanks for the input!!!

Thanks Pamela, it seems to be going away, but I think I might be cramping now.  This is just so frustrating!!!!!

Hopefully all will turn out well!!!!

I have had spotting after pap smears many times, it's because of the scraping inside the the cervix.

Hey Rachel.  I just responded to your note as well...but...

As far as I know  a pap can`t make you start AF early.  Most likely your cervix got a bit irritated, so it bled a bit.  And by the way, thats really common in early pregnancy because your cervix is usually softer.  So could be a good sign!!  Hope so.  I highly doubt its start of AF though, unless its normal for you to be abnormal (you know what I mean...lol).   Have you taken an HPT yet...the waiting is killing me...lol!!!
