Don't know what to think

Hi everyone, glad to find a place to get some answers or ideas and opinions.  Friday I went to my doc to have a blood test done. I've been feeling weird past few weeks. I turned 35 in May. I had a tubal in 2001. My understanding is that the efficiency rate declines the longer you have it. Ok, in June my cycle was late. I had the usual pm cramping and expected my cycle to start on or around the 22nd. I started cramping on the 19th and was certain AF was coming on the 21st. On the 22nd I was sick as a dog, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. AF didn't show up until the 25th. July AF was late again. I expected her on the 20th or so but she didn't come. I had extreme cramps but no sign of her. She only came after I had sex w/my BF. AF came on Aug 18th, normal for first 2 days and light for the next 3, actually very light. I had a slip and fall Aug. 13th and was on pain meds so chalked up not having cramps to the pain meds.  I went in to the doc on the 14th abt my back and I was like 10 lbs heavier than I was about a month or so ago, so I chalked it up to PMS. But I also noticed my stomach has been looking bigger and little harder, like constantly bloated. Even if I suck it in it's not much shrinkage. LOL. And I have been feeling nauseous, queasy, vomiting and most of all stomach upset.  At times I did have lower abdominal pain around June.

Friday, the doc took my blood for prego test as well as some other tests (ultrasound): gallbladder, ulcers, and possible ovarian cysts (i had a laparoscopy in 2004 for cysts and some type of cocoon my scar tissue had formed around my uterus).

My main concern is that I've had Lexapro (anxiety) and the pain meds from the fall. Occasionally I had liquor during these few months (well at least every weekend). My results are supposed to be ready tomorrow. Yes, I am anxious.

My other concern is that if I am prego, whether the scar tissue has returned and if they'll be able to see anything because with my 2nd pregnancy they weren't able to really see my son because of the amount of scar tissue I had.

Anyone have anything similar to this?  Thanks again yall!

You're so welcome southerngyal.  I too have battled weight and sudden weight gain as well.  I wish it could've been attributed to pregnancy!  That would've been nice.  I'm still undergoing bloodwork to see what's going on.  I'm too embarrassed to tell you what I've gained since I had my baby in April - it's too humiliating.  I hope you get the answers you're seeking for tomorrow - good luck! - jennifer

no my results wont be in until tomorrow. My doc didn't brush me off or think it unusual for me to want the blood test. I only asked for it because although I've had my periods, they were either late or kind of "budged". Or it could be my ovarian cysts again. I would just be grateful when I find out what's going on with my body.  I am overweight as is but the amount of weight I've gained in the past month or so and my eating habits haven't increased is weird. I'll be sure to post once I hear what's up. LOL! Thanks again ladies.

Was your pregnancy test at your doctor's negative?  That should answer definitevly if you're pregnant or not.  If you've had three periods, whether typical for you or not, it sounds like you're not pregnant.  I see from your post that you may not have the results from your doctor yet.  Is that right?

Your other symptoms could be attributed to lots of things.  It would depend on what your blood tests revealed.  Good luck!

I have not had anything similiar to this but I am prescribed the generic version of Lexapro and even though I was told I could continue taking it I took myself off. I did so because I didn't want my baby to go through withdraws. However, I cannot wait until she is born so I can start taking them again to feel better. I do not advocate doing what I did but only did so because I knew I could get through it. At times I wonder but I am near the end and I'm okay.
Wait until you get your test results and discuss your options with your doctor. He/she will guide you in the right direction. Some meds are safe during pregnancy and he/she will change your scripts accordingly. You may have to wait and see if anything can be seen by ultrasound if one is necessary based on your test results.
Please post again and let us know h ow it all works out for you. I am wishing you the best whichever way it ends up.
