Could I be pregnant?

I am 4 days late. I took a pregnancy test today and it came back negative. I have been having cramp like feelings, my breast have been hurting, i have had a headache and have had lower back pains. About three weeks ago I had really bad cramping for a few days and then since then just a little bit of cramping here and there. I have been burping alot lately. My last period was july 7 and it was suppose to be aug 4 and now its the 8th and still nothing. Could I be pregnant or could it be something else?

I had sex the day before my last period. I took a test it said negative but I took it in the afternoon I know I should take it first thing in the morning. I am not on any brith control, we normally just use a condom but there have been a few times.

take a pregnancy test- did you  have sex around mid- cycle? R u on birth control? could be a million things gyn related....
